In the Spring, Growing Healthy Kids coordinates Open School Gardens, a series of garden volunteer days across all our sites that encourage families and friends of our school gardens to get involved in maintaining and growing our school garden sites! Our school gardens have a diverse array of needs. Some have been around for many years, and some are just starting up! Projects at each site reflect the priorities that site has for the year.

We're grateful to the many volunteers who have shaped the gardens we teach in every day with their passion and generosity, and have given students throughout our district a place to learn in the outdoors.
